If you were in high school in the mid-1970s like me, you’re sure to remember this soft rock ballad by the band Kansas.

The idea that everything we experience in life is temporary is a critical concept with Buddhists. In fact, impermanence is considered to be one of the three marks of existence…along with the reality of suffering and the idea that “the self” is an illusion.
Buddhists believe that being able to accept..and embrace…the impermanent nature of all phenomena helps the practitioner gain enlightenment.
Sound like a Buddhist…Buddhist terminology is in two languages from ancient India…Sanskrit and Pali. The Pali word for impermanence is anicca.
